Hi there! Welcome to my website—whether you’re just stumbling across or are visiting for a purpose, I hope you find something that resonates with you!
As a brief overview of my current activities, I graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2022 and remain involved in the literary community on Vancouver Island. My current professional background includes journalism, content writing, casual freelance photography, and creative writing, amongst others. I’m a published writer, and up until recently, I was also an editorial intern for The Malahat Review (an international literary journal)—although I still screen for them on occasion.
When I’m not working, my day-to-day involves exploring the island with my camera in hand, hanging out in breweries, working on writing projects, reading, and saving for travel adventures.
I recently completed a four-month solo trip across Australia. I went to Brazil in February 2023, the UK, Europe, and Turkey in 2022, and am contemplating Portugal or Norway next! In the meantime, I partake in mini-travel adventures on Vancouver Island or the surrounding area whenever I can!
I currently live and work on the ancestral lands of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. I wish to actively grow in my knowledge of colonialism and how we, as settlers, can contribute to truth and reconciliation for the intergenerational harm inflicted.
